Staff & Elders

Dr. Norm Wakefield
Interim Pastor / Elder

Lake Pleasant Community Church is privileged to have Dr. Norm Wakefield serving as interim pastor while we seek to fill the permanent Senior Pastor position.  Norm is a wonderful teacher of God’s Word, emphasizing individual spiritual growth, practical application, developing strong biblical based families, and building up of the church body.

Norm and his wife Winnie, who shares Norm’s compassion for people, have been married for 46 years and have five children.  They split their residency between Arizona in the winter and Colorado in the summer.

Dr. Wakefield is a Professor Emeritus of Phoenix Seminary, has served as the pastor of Shared Life Fellowship, taught at Talbot School of Theology, and authored or co-authored many books.  Although Dr. Wakefield’s academic, professional, and publishing credentials are substantial, around church he prefers to be known as “just Norm”.
