| Q: What kind of church are you?
|
A: Our contemporary worship and ministry is for everyone. Although we belong to the Missionary Church denomination, we are an evangelical Christian church holding to the belief that we should major on the majors, and minor on the minors. At our Phoenix evangelical church, you will meet believers from many denominations all committed to the Lordship of Christ, the authority of the Bible, and salvation by faith alone. |
| Our Arizona evangelical church reflects the basics of the Christian faith in contemporary worship and all aspects of ministry. We use the Bible as the basis from which our entire understanding of God is derived. As a result, there will never be a worship song, sermon, Bible study, or even a simple time of fellowship where this motivation is not apparent. |
In seeking to have Biblical truth permeate and renew our minds in daily life, we in turn seek to have it permeate and renew the thinking behind all we do in our Christian church. |
| In our Peoria evangelical church, we cannot emphasize enough how the Bible teaches that we our saved by faith alone and not works. The reality is that we will never be good enough, nice enough, or hard working enough to loosen the death sentence into which we were all born. The good news is that because of Christ's work on the cross, we are not required to work for our salvation. We are only required to accept it by faith. It is also easy to forget that “as we have received Christ, so we walk.” Even the most seasoned Christians can occasionally fall into the exhausting lie that we need to attain excellence in our own efforts. Please come and alleviate the burden that the pursuit of perfection brings, and walk in to a contemporary environment of endless grace and truth. |
